Student Travel Awards

The purpose of the PAGANZ Travel Awards is to assist eligible students to participate in scientific meetings related to pharmacometrics.

The PAGANZ International Travel Award was introduced in 2023. The award is aimed at removing financial barriers for a student to attend a PAGANZ meeting and to broaden PAGANZ membership by engaging students from the Asia-Pacific region.

Student Prizes

The student prizes will be determined by judging submitted abstracts and presentations by a panel of judges. PAGANZ and the judging panel reserve the right to not award this prize if applications are not of sufficient merit.

Nick Holford Prize

Objective: to foster and award students who excel in clinical pharmacology research that applies pharmacometric methods to improve human health.

Eligibility: the award is open to PAGANZ members who are students undertaking a research project within the area of clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics and who present their work in an oral presentation at the annual PAGANZ meeting.

Award: prize money of the value of $200 NZD as well as an oral presentation at the next ASCEPT ASM. PAGANZ will also reimburse up to $300 NZD for travel costs to the ASCEPT ASM to present their work. Travel costs must be appropriately documented, and within 2 years of being awarded the prize, to receive reimbursement. The abstract of the winning presentation will be highlighted on the PAGANZ webpage.

PAGANZ ISOP Student Prize for Pharmacometrics

Objective: the purpose of the PAGANZ International Society of Pharmacometrics Student Prize for Pharmacometrics is to foster and award students who excel in their research using pharmacometric methods. This prize also serves to foster the international engagement of early career pharmacometricians in Australia and New Zealand with the International Society of Pharmacometrics.

Eligibility: the award is open to PAGANZ members who are students undertaking a research project within the area of pharmacometrics, and who present their work in an oral presentation at the annual PAGANZ meeting.

Award: the award includes prize money of the value of $200 as well as a Student ISoP Membership for one year. PAGANZ will also reimburse up to $300 NZD for travel costs to the ASCEPT ASM to present their work. Travel costs must be appropriately documented, and within 2 years of being awarded the prize, to receive reimbursement. The abstract of the winning presentation will be highlighted on the PAGANZ webpage.
